Help support new arrivals from Ukraine

Camden is preparing to welcome people fleeing the war in Ukraine, and calling on volunteers to register their interest to support the collective effort with language, transport, meeting and greeting.

If you want to support the new arrivals register your availability below.

If you are looking to donate money to help someone caught up in the war to receive food, water, first aid, medicines, warm clothes or shelter, you can find out more here

Help with:

Not many of the new arrivals currently speak English. We are looking for people to help with translation.

If you are able to donate money, there are a number of organisations and campaigns that you can support.

Meeting and Greeting

Help to provide a warm welcome to Camden and support people to access the services and support that they require.

Homes for Ukraine

If you want to offer a home to people fleeing Ukraine, you can become a ‘sponsor’ as part of the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

How does this work?

Once you register your interest to support, we will try and match what you're offering to local organisations supporting new arrivals from Ukraine. We are working with the voluntary and community sector, as well as the public sector to mobilise support as quickly as possible to areas with the greatest need.

Does this actually work?

Yes! At Time to Spare we have been helping connect volunteers to community organisations since 2019.

I agree to share my data with Camden Council ("the co-ordinating organisation") and for them to pass that information on to the NHS, public health and other relevant responsible public and third sector bodies to help support new arrivals from Ukraine.

How does this work for local organisations?

Time to Spare allows local charities, CICs and Local Government to coordinate their use of volunteers. If you're a local organisation that wants access to a pool of volunteers, and the tools to manage them, sign up for a Time to Spare account.
